KATAYOON

Katayoon Valamanesh (born 1990, Rasht, Iran) completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Design in Tehran, Iran. She later moved to the Netherlands, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Art and Design from the Frank Mohr Institute in 2022, and won the City of Groningen Hendrik de Vriesstipend for young talents in the arts. Since then, she has been living and working in Groningen as a visual artist. She has had the opportunity to exhibit her work in various venues, including Kunstpunt Groningen, Gallery NP3, and Kunstlinie Almere, among others, and spoke at ESNS24.

She works with a wide range of materials and mediums — from plaster and ceramics to drawing, painting, photography, and even motion pictures. With years of experience across various art forms, she offers workshops for all age groups. In her sessions, she aims to introduce participants to different materials and techniques while inspiring their creativity.

Later verhuisde zij naar Nederland, waar zij in 2022 haar masterdiploma in Fine Art and Design behaalde aan het Frank Mohr Instituut. In datzelfde jaar ontving zij de Hendrik de Vriesstipend voor jong talent van de gemeente Groningen. Sindsdien woont en werkt zij in Groningen als beeldend kunstenaar. Haar werk is tentoongesteld op diverse locaties, waaronder Kunstpunt Groningen, Galerie NP3 en Kunstlinie Almere, en zij was spreker tijdens ESNS24.

Zij werkt met een breed scala aan materialen en media — van gips en keramiek tot tekenen, schilderen, fotografie en zelfs bewegend beeld. Dankzij haar jarenlange ervaring binnen verschillende kunstdisciplines verzorgt zij workshops voor alle leeftijden. In haar workshops maakt zij deelnemers vertrouwd met uiteenlopende materialen en technieken, terwijl zij hun creativiteit stimuleert
